No Bugaboo Spire trip report would be complete with out a picture of the
infamous gendarme. This piece of rock nearly stumped old Conrad Kain
back in 1916 when he guided the first ascent of Bugaboo Spire.
Nowadays, there's a nifty two bolt rappel anchor on the back side with
facilitates the descent. Be interesting to know how Kain got back
down!
